Brake squeal issue

so I recently changed my brakes about 2 months ago and I'm getting terrible brake squeal as of about 2 weeks ago. I also got the rotors cut so I know it's not the rotors being grooved or anything. There is an extremely loud high pitched squeal only after the brakes have been warmed up and typically 25 MPH and lower, though sometimes over 25 MPH. I replaced OEM pads all around to ceramics all around. the back of each pad was greased prior to install. I know sometimes pads just squeak but I figured I would ask here. Thanks

i wouldn't worry about it. are they high performance brakes? if so that is normal. they are meant to perform and higher temperatures and harder stops. if they squeels just cruising, its the nature of the beast. if anyone gives ya greif, just tell them it's normal for high performance brakes..

case in point.. listen here... i know you don't have mclaren p1 brakes but you get the idea..

Don't listen to this, its not normal for your car to sound like that with the pads you have. Did you replace the hardware (e.g. the metal clips for the pads)? If not that might be whats causing it. Also theres a product called brake quiet made by several manufacturers that will help squeaks and rattles. I apply it to every surface where metal can rub against metal (not directly on the pad surface and rotor) and never have issues. Also depending on the quality of the pads the metal backing plate could have come detached .

no the clips were not replaced, also forgot to mention it seems to come from the front brakes. the pads are probably shitty quality as I bought them from autozone.

This is about the worst it's been and it also does it well over 25mph in this video.

Haven't watched the video, but did you bed the brake pads after install?

Also how quickly are you going through the 25-0 zone?

yes I did, and it squeaks regardless of how soft or hard I brake

I'd take them back apart and re-grease everything. Also are you driving an LNF, LSJ, LE5, L61/LAP?

LNF. I just hope I don't have to replace pads/rotors cause I'm broke for the next week or so

that sucks!

Obviously the video i posted is an extreme example but if you research this, it is common for these pads to squeel when coming to a stop. you can probably help it with compounds as someone suggested but it is not abnormal. they won't squeel everytime but they will on occasion. mine always did both before and after i had new brakes installed at the dealership.

When my OEM brakes first squealed the dealership showed me a Service Bulletin which basically said it's a feature, not a problem. Performance brakes.

I have since switched to race pads and what used to be a modest squeal now sounds like a dump truck. I don't care. The added braking power is totally worth it
