A/C Stops Working

I searched past post's and did not see this problem, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem as well. In my daughter's 05 LT (2.2 liter) 2 door coupe, driving along and the A/C stops blowing cold air for no apparent reason. Took it back to dealer and they said it was the ignition switch and her key chain was to heavy causing the switch to malfunction. Now she only has the key in the ignition and still doing the same. Problem is intermittent with no pattern at all. Hopefully someone can help me out with this so i can inform the dealer because they are clueless. I also tod her that the next time it happens to drive immediately to dealer and do not turn car off so they see what the car is doing while it is not working properly. Dealer keeps saying they can't duplicate the fault. Funny, it duplicates itself all the time when we have it! Thanks in advance for any help.

i have an 05 LT as well and i remember it had a recall for the AC back in.........long time ago. maybe you should ask the dealer about that

side note: 05 LT only comes in sedans ...its probably an LS or something ...but either way i think the AC recall affected all 2.2
