I C. Regardless, you shouldnt have to adjust your car to work on a part, the part should be adjusted to work on your car...

lol that's where the hammer on the primary tube comes in! workin on a car isn't like performing surgery! everyonce in awhile you need to show it who's boss!

I agree with 1SloBowtie that the part should fit the car. I put a set of shorty headers on a friend's 95 Mustang GT and they required hammering the tubes to make them fit -- even included in the instructions to use a 1" socket when bending the tubes with a hammer!

dude it's a car....GM, Ford, Honda, Subaru, etc aren't making micro chips where everything is within 1 billionth of an inch tolerances everytime. every car is alittle differant so it's hard to make a part that fits every time. look at the problems with the CAI's on the SS/SC's for example some rub and some don't with the same kind of CAI. if it was me persoinally i would take the socket and dent the bastard and be dome with it. no use bitching about it since they are having them redesigned and it will take along time for the final product to get done.

It fits the 2.4 and 2.0 just fine. If they're only having this prob with the 2.2, they shouldnt say it'll fit the 2.2. But they are working the issue...

Yeah, the zzp header sux big time!!! I should know, I have it. It leaks like a ****. I sent it back, they sent me the "redesigned one" that looked exactly the same and still leaks. When I get more money, I will ditch their header and go for another company. Their dp is pretty good though. I like it a lot.

i just don't get how people are complaing because the have to make a tiny dent in a header...we are working on cars here people not everything snaps together like effin lego's sometimes you have to make the oval block fit in the circular hole. use alittle alittle bit of force as long as you think it through and only use it when neccessary you aren't going to hurt anything.

We are trying to find out if its a certain model , certain year , certain car , certain transmission that may be having the problem . The 2.0L and the 2.4L from 05+ have a different coolant pipe than the 2.2L . On the 2.0L and 2.4L the coolant line is held in place by 2 o-ring gaskets . We are finding that the coolant pipe can vary on each of these cars depending on how GM installed the o-ring pipe . If you loosen the 2 bolts on the driver side to release some tension on the coolant pipe you can then rotate the coolant pipe to help increase clearance if it is an issue .
On the 05 2.2L (wdsoccer) - his coolant line cannot be adjusted as it has a welded flange onto the coolant pipe. We are still trying to figure out if this is just the 05 model year or all the years 2.2L. We just need test cars to find out excatly what years have what variations and to take pics.
Yes the small dent method on the header pipe does work and wont harm performance but it isnt 100% the correct way. We are working on a redesign so that there will be no problems at all , we just need to get rid of what we have already so the new design can come out . This is one of the reasons for the low introductory price so we can get these out in the real world for testing and get soem feedback on all different cars of all different model years , engine sizes, and production runs. So some people may not mind a small dent if it saves them $50.00 in the long run ...but for those that want perfection we should have the redesign in about 4 - 6 weeks

I know this an old and dusted thread but how did everything turn out for you guys with the problems? And how is that redesign coming along?
