car died (said reduced engine power on dic)

Well I was driving today about 30 miles an hour and I downshifted to come to a red light. Well my car died and it said on the dic reduced engine power and the service engine soon light was on. I got it to start after about 5 tries and it went right into to gear. But, there was no power the car was at 6 rpms and i was going maybe 5mph max it wouldnt get past that and kept dying. Luckily I was right infront of a chevy dealership. I made a U turn, and went to the service area. My car couldnt even make it up the little slope into the service area they had to push it. So they wont be able to check it till tomorrow. They gave me a hyundai sonata as a rental.

My car has 5500 miles. Any ideas? Was it the clutch?

Yer car went into limp mode. I seriously doubt it's the clutch. sounds like an engine or sensor issue.

No thats whats odd, temperature was normal, the boost guage read normal. The only problem I have had is shaking in the steering wheel for the last few days and it wasn't anything severe. But, then yesterday on my way to work my roomate has a 06 Tiburon GT V6 and left at the same time as me. Well usually when I floor it I'm down the street and he has to attempt to catch up. Well that wasnt the case yesterday he was right on my back bumper .So I knew there was a problem because I just wasnt getting any power.
