car dies randomly?

so i was sitting at a llight waiting to turn left and all the sudden my rpms just hit 0. my foot was all the way in on the clutch. it didnt jump or anything it just died. i had to turn the car off and back on again for it to work but i dont know why it does this, it has happened like 4 times now. the dealership says its because of my intake (gmpp) and i doubt that. the mechanics their said the lady who said that was stupid. i have a 2.4l and a gmpp intake and i always put 93 in it. anybody have any explanations or has it happened to anyone else?

ive had the same problems... ive found that if you have your A/C on on a hot day it has idleing issues and sometimes leads to stalling.. the dealer does nothing bout it...
are you going to the cincinnati - dayton meet coming up?

I have an auto 2.4 and my car is at the dealer for it now. I told another dealer before but they said there wasn't any error codes. This time my check engine light turned on so we will see. It does seem to only happen when the ac is on which I don't doubt because when the ac is on the power is dramaticlly reduced I have to turn the ac off when I need to jump on to the highway.

Did you knee bump into the steering column at all? It's happened to me before and I know there is a thread somewhere where it's happened to other people because the weight of the keys causes the key to turn to off when it's bumped.

It's happened twice while I wasn't moving, and once when I was. Turned into the gas station and it was so bumpy that my knee crashed into the key and turned the car off. Then while just sitting I moved around a bit and bumped the column and it turned off then.

Ive had something similar happen to me a couple times. it happens at all different speeds and the ac does not have to be on. But I dont have to turn the key to the off position to start it, I just push the clutch in and turn the key to start and it starts right up. i had it to the dealership and theyre baffled. I also have a gmpp intake, but it was on a long time before this started. It actually gave me a good lil scare the other day going around a ramp from one highway to the other with a concrete barrier in front of me when the engine dies and power steering went with it. Im gonna be calling gm on monday cuz it died on me twice last nite like an hour apart.
