Car jerks when driving slowly
what he said.
haha... you are all talking about getting it fixed like it's a malfunction. the only mod that is going to fix this is the driver mod. ease out on that clutch and control yourself in that annoying ass stop and go traffic. i've had it from time to time, but i realize it's my own dumb fault and not the cars.... push the clutch back in when it starts to do it and try again.... this time with more finesse.

You don't have to ride the clutch.. I can takeoff without giving my car any gas at all, and it doesn't jerk. Be EASY with the gas!! If I hit the gas too hard and clutch jerkily the car will buck and be a piece of ****.
I think a lot of guys are missing the point or don't have the same problem. It isn't driver error since giving it gas or not isn't effecting it. If I just try to coast down a hill at 5mph or less my idle alone is jerking all around and that is with no driver input, so it is the car not the driver.
I know for a FACT its not my driving! I've been driving this car for over 2 years and this started to happen one day after I was doing 6 HARD pulls with an Sti that would not quit because he could not take the fact that a Cobalt was pulling on him. I think my meth injection might have have damaged my throttle body, TPS, or MAP causing a bad reading. I take my foot off the gas and it feels like a bang or shock to the drive line. Sice then I've found a bad intake leak caused by rubbing(fixed), fixed my leaking exhaust, and replaced MAF, Plugs, O2 sensors, Supercharger. Like I said before tho if I unplug the coolant temp sensor to force the car to run in OPEN LOOP the car runs just like it use to PERFECT! ITS NOT MY DRIVING
Not true at all bro. My friends SS crushed 3 lifters and was running smooth with NO CEL for 2 weeks until I brought it into my shop and removed the valve cover and found 3 CRUSHED lifters and the roller rockers laying in the head. As a matter of fact 2 chevy dealers told him nothing was wrong with the car and to bring it back if the CEL comes on.
same here ......i thought it was my fault for learning how to drive stick on this car....i thought i was ******* up but i guess is just not me ......but getting the hang of it ....cause ...houston ....traffic ...all the time
No, but the car works fine for me driving it normal. It is only in those situation where it happens, but it is annoying. I do spend a lot of time in slow conditions though. The point is that I want to be able to drive normally. Sure, I can get on it a little and avoid that; however, that is usually the time the police are in the parking lot too and wonder what you are doing and think you are provoking them not going easy with them there.
There are times when you can't go 10-15 mph , like rush hour , speed bumps or people walking next to your car . I'm not saying it can't be fixed by pushing in the clutch , but for a new car these things have the characteristic's of a 78 mack dump truck .
It also has to do with the computerized throttle ie. drive by wire. Ever try to stall in 2nd by taking your foot off the gas and coasting? It won't stall, the computer will give the car gas even though your foot is completely off the pedal.
To the other clowns that have no idea what we're talking about, its not driver error. The car is bucking when ur foot is on the pedal cruising at steady speed. This car doesnt like cruise smoothly at low speeds.
ptrblkz24,
What modds do you have? It sound like we are have the same problem. Try doing what I did and warm the car up and unplug the coolant temp senor and take her for a little cruise. The problem is gone when I do that, but you don't want to be driving around like that too long.
