Car not running right please help!

Alright heres the deal my car the past few weeks has been what i classify as hesitation and studdering under low throttle acceleration. I always use 93+ octane and I have no Idea why the car does this but I have no weird cel's and this is really starting to worry me. Any help is greatly appreciated.

bump

Yea well I don't have HPT my tuner does but I'm not sure if its his fault because he based the tune off an intense tune for 60 pounders. But thanks for trying to help but it only occurs at low throttle WOT is perfect no knocks or anything.

Just to keep it really simple first, do you run all top tier gas such as Shell or Chevron? Even though you use 93, the gas nowdays sucks ass and carbon buildup on the intake valve will cause low rpm hesitation. Just a thought.

Yea this last tank of gas was 93 octane shell and a mix of octane booster.

check your fuel injectors or spark plugs lately? how many ranges cooler then stock are you running?

how do you like that spec 2 clutch btw? I hear people have slippage issues but I don't think they are breaking them in properly, what's your opinion?

Will check the plugs but they only have 1500 miles on them, NGKBKR7E I am running. What should I look for with the injectors I installed them myself but there is no hissing noise meaning vaccum leak and i don't smell fuel. Should I look to see if the pores are clogged on the injector?
THE CLUTCH is great! 20k plus miles of abuse and track times still no problems. Throwout bearing needs replacing though. My stock clutch died after 5k and this one is on 20k+

if you're running 93 and octane boost, I would run some fuel injector treatment through the next tank. I noticed my car started doing that after I put the new injen intake on, with the old model it didn't do it, did you change intakes?

spray them off with carb cleaner, but I would probably say it's a tuning thing, that's a small pulley.

your car should be putting out more HP then that shouldn't it? I'm only stage 2, intake, exh. and pushing 245 whp @ 220 lbs tor. I would say you got some tunning issues, possibly running to rich and flooding the throttle body, which would account for the low idle issues.

No i have the new model intake but I will try injector cleaner with my next tank, looks like I need a new tune.

That would make sense I am running really rich got the P0172 code a week ago didn't think anything of it but I enjoy shooting a flame every now and then on decel.

did you get your A/F ratio from the dyno? Doesn't an aeroforce show a/f ratio?

Yea afr was around 11.6-11.8 WOT and around 14.5-15.3 at idle No it shows short and long term fuel but I don't know what the numbers mean

Well then diff. a tuning issue IMO, did you have to change your slave cylinder BTW when you did the clutch?

Don't worry about comparing dyno numbers if they weren't dyno'd at the same place in relatively similar conditions.

And I'm pretty sure he's running a throttlebody, not a carb, so I wouldn't worry about flooding...

To the OP, check the injectors and run fuel injector cleaner. Most likely, you're going to have to have Ljavy hop in the car w/ HPT and log your issues to see what's going on. You have a wideband???

No didn't change the slave or the throwout b/c chevy ordered me the wrong part and couldn't get the right one in time.

LOl me either but from what I remember from my dyno is that idle should be around 15, and WOT should be around 13.5-14 maybe, I think you can tune each gear with HP tuners, not too familiar with these electric tuning programs, I prefer a 4 barrel carb!

The p0172 is definately an indication of a tuning issue, I would look further into that...

11.4, ideally...

12 is too lean. Goodbye #4

You could try Matt @ Tune Time Performance (LudacrisTSS) or Paul (06blackg85ss)...

Like I said earlier in the thread, you might try some fuel injector cleaner. I HIGHLY recommend Techron, it is the best cleaner that isn't to hard.

I've been having the same problem myself (hesitation under light throttle/ low rpm only) intermittently for a while. Just since last night my car is doing it all the time and had a really rough idle when I started it today. Just threw a CEL this morning too. I'm getting it checked out tomorrow morn at the dealership. I'll see what they say. And i'll try some injector cleaner tonight.

Change your plugs and clean off your MAF sensor. If it doesn't improve start saving money for a new tune.
