Thats now 2 HPT tuned cars in 2 weeks that blew by a known good HPT tuner.

I won't say who the other one's is (or the tuner as I will leave that up to the people tuned by them), I figure he would say something on the forums if he wanted everyone to know that his car blew up.

Also the tune might not be entirely to blame, could be defect in parts, operator error, etc.

But as they say, you pay to play.

I don't know if I would blame the tuner... I mean it is the drivers fault for not side
lining the car and getting it checked out when it was showing signs of engine trouble.... just saying

also to the op, I hope it all goes well for you.

Im def not blaming it on the tuner. My pistons melted due to the lack of oil. Welded my crank bearings to the rod..

Like I stated my touble would come and go. Everytime I would have my car looked at it wouldn't do anything. Techh 2 woulnt show any codes for anything. Thinking that there was a code that is not throwing a cel.

So are you paying to have it fixed or what?

I would have just filed this on insurance and been done with the car.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck.

There was not could anywhere for anything. Nothing that was not flashing a cel on the and no history of anything with the GM tech 2.

sorry to hear that, so it was an oil issue that caused this? I was thinking the melted pistons couldve been from a fuel error, especially if it was leaking the fuel into the engine compartment.

Always the tuners fault..... Sarcasm..... I mean if ure blinker doesnt work or your rear calipers freeze up or if ure door chime dings when u dont close the door. Its the tuners fault right. Oh and the whole hptune thing of these two blowing up i can count many infiniboost trifecta cars blowing up. Not causing drama just saying it.. But op sorry to hear it blew..... Freeeeeee engine lol.

People fear what they dont understand

Most people dont understand tuning

Tuner tunes the car to run at higher than factory performance

Owner drives the car while utilizing higher than factory performance

Car goes boom from (insert issue here)

Owner understands everything except for the tune

Owner doesnt think their car could possibly have a hardware issue because they put in the work

Tuner gets blamed because the owner didnt put in the work and fear tuning as a whole because thats what they didnt touch and so they dont trust that

Same as going onto a computer forum, "my computer has a virus" 99.9% of computers will never see a real deal virus. the problem with the computer is registry errors, compatability errors, clutter, spyware, cookies, etc.

Not saying the OP has suggested that at all, but for those that have suggested. Peddle that **** elsewhere.

Arent you always saying **** about trifecta blowing stuff up? Hell....you even throw it in here for no reason .

When a trifecta tuned car blows up you blame the tuner..... whats the difference now?
