Car wont stay running
This morning I get ready to head to work and start my car. Idles under 1000RPMS and dies out. So I start it again and play with the throttle, barely revs and then dies out. Ended up taking the R6 to work but would much rather have drove the SS. Anyone have any ideas what I should check when I get home?
this JUST happened to my buddy, engine would idol like it had a crazy lift cam in it n then to the point were it just would not stay running. brought it to the dealer and found out his ECU was fried and it was covered uder warrenty. time to bring her in!!
When you turn the key on can you hear the fuel pump prime and shut off.
(turn the ignition on with out trying to start it and see if you can hear it)
If not go to the back of the car and kick of hit the gas tank where the fuel pump is and then try to start it again!

diconnect the battery for a few then connect it(reset the ecu), maybe check your maf or map, if you rev your car up does it stay running?, and when you turn the ignition on (not car) can you hear the tb do its cycle?

after I rev it, it still dies out. Milage is around 44k and I have never replaced the fuel filter. Every now and then I'd get the flutter issue and assumed that was due to my GMS1 and the connections like everyone else.

No warranty left on the car. I got home and disconnected the battery and connected it again. Started it and still idled funny. Pulled the plugs and checked them. They all seemed fine but cleaned them up anyways. After that I started the car and this time it idled high, Around 1500rpms then eventually kicked itself down. Runs now and took it easy for a few, still idles differently at times. Hard to explain but the SS just isn't the same. Will be looking at her more tomorrow as far as throttle body and fuel pump/lines. Gonna let her rest for the night and get back into it tomorrow.
mines doing the same thing. ill know if thats my issue when i get my tune from zzp this week
