check engine from zzp header/dp
i have a check engine light from installing my header/dp which has a high flow cat
at first i had a leak and brought it into my mechanic to have it reinstalled ($200
) and had engine light flashed away, but it came but up about 2 days later.
what the cheapest way to deal with this. im located in central new jersey
..and i kinda feel like i have a loss of power, is that caused by the cel?
any help would be appreciated...

same problem.. except no loss in power at all.. my car actually pulls alot harder now... i have a cti header/dp.. its the downstream O2 getting bad readings.. all it does is check to see if your cat is working... im gonna get an angled fouler from ebay and make a writeup for it... im tired of seeing that damn orange engine on my dash
why didn't you just tighten the leak? lol.
Code is probably p0140 which is because of your cat. Will not notice any driving symptoms whatsoever as the rear 02 sensor does nothing but monitor the efficiency of the cat. You can turn off the code as much as you want, and it will come back until you actually disable the code from coming back on.
What's happening is your front 02 sensor monitors emmissions, as well as other things. the rear 02 sensor again measures the emmissions... if it's close enough to the first 02 sensor reading, it trips the code because the car thinks your cat isn't working. Is almost guaranteed to happen with any aftermarket cat, or if you take the cat out. Took about a year to come up in 2.0, and came on pretty quick with my 2.2

with a few extensions, all can easily be reached from under the car. (for future reference) I've installed probably a dozen different header setups on cobalts, all with jackstands.
