usually i turn off my car and get out and i hear a clicking noise, sounds like it is from my exhaust. is this normal? or somewhere under my car.

 

its ur cat...its just coolin off

 

Normal, metal is just contracting from hot to cold, no problems

 

ok thanks guys, for some reason i just now noticed it.

 

my car does that when its running. i can hear it when sitting still, like in the drive through

 

yeah, i thought something was seriously wrong

 

I got it after i did my full exhaust.

 

Bringing back this thread!! I noticed this sound just few days ago but was not doing it when I just installed my aftermarket cat-back. Someone please re-affirm this is normal and that I'm not the only one... Thanks

 

My 07 ss with full exhaust also makes a ticking sound when it runs. started right after installing the headers and dp with new cat

 

It depends on the metal used in the exhaust system but dont worry its normal.
