Clicking sound from wheel?

So yeah, Ive had this noise since I got my red one...every were I go I always hear a click noise..and it sounds like its coming from the front left tire (Im guessing anyhow)

Car has never really drove weird, I was told might be the tire weights clicking for some reason..But Way before I totalled my Black SS it never did it or anything. Anyting different with this one is LSD really...So should I get it checked or is this normal? Car has driven fine for the 2400 miles Ive put on it...It also sometimes feels like the alignment is off, and sometimes there is a vibration...but it could be just me coasting in gear....And only those problems are recent...

could be your CV Joints. does it get louder when you're turning? i would definately take it back to the stealership! but my guess owuld be the axel/CV joints. good luck

Yeah get the CV Boots and Joints checked. If the boot is ripped it could be a wheel bearing. First check your tires for screws, nails, or rocks. I have had that happen a few times and I can hear them clicking on the ground.

I've had this happen sometimes too on my 2.4. It's been to the dealer twice, and I got them to look at it, but they couldn't recreate the noise. It only happens once in a while, and it does get louder sometimes when I turn right.

if it gets louder during a turn i would have to say it's almost definately a CV joint. check and see if you have a rip in the boot. i would take it back to the stealership and tell them again. make sure you tell them it gets louder when you turn right.

The springs could have something to do with it. Did you get an alignment done afterwards?

I rode off the lot with it clicking, and tightened my wheels, and even took em off and re-tightened em. Still clicks.

Canada I read a post some where that it was the main axel nut.

There was a post either this site or .com that I read and the guy said it had somthing to do with axel spline movment and the dealer re torqued the axel nut ortightend it because it was loose and his ckicking noise went a way.

that is one sound i dont want to hear at all, these cars really suck, we should get some discount off the price we paid for our cars for everytime we have to get them fixed, like some dealer point system, the more times your car is there the more points you get and after so many we could start earning gmpp

I found this bulletin was just for the steering wheel making a noise when turning. I did have the clicking and I have taken it to the dealer and they just replaced the wheel hubs again and it got rid of the clicking noise that happens when taking off or down-shifting when coming to a stop. I wonder if they are not going a bit to cheep on the bearing that they use in the wheel hub.

I have this same noise, but it only happens when my tires are cut all the way to either side and if I move them just a bit to either side it stops...

yeah mine clicked to. at the dealership i work at we have been replacing axles with great results. but i have never tried re-torqueing the axle nut i will have to look into that. also just becuase it happens when you are going straight would be no means eleminate your axles. they are still under load upon accel and decel. the same is true with it happening when you are turning it does not garantee that it is indeed your axles.
