k so im in the progress of trying to paint my headlights... heated em up in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 mins and when I take em out to deal with the clips the sealant hardens again by the time I get em free... and Ive managed to break one of them which probably wont be a huge deal.... any tips on dealing with these damn clips?

i think i broke all of my clips, its not a big deal. just make sure to get all the old sealant out and replace it with black rtv sealant. literally put too much sealant on and squeeze it together, then put it in the oven for 15 minutes and squeeze together even tighter than use tape to hold it there for a few hours

ok cool... ill try busting all the clips cuz I really dont see this coming apart otherwise

yeah the clips are just there to hold it together while the sealant dries from the factory. taping the lens to the housing has the same effect.
