Clock resets?

Lately, I have been noticing that whenever I turn off car (SS Chevy Cobalt 06' Automatic) the clock resets and I notice the gauges do some weird "flickering" for a bit then they turn off like they would normally do when turning the car off. I just got a new battery about a month or 2 ago. Anyone else having or had this problem and know what I can do to fix this? Thanks!

I was going to say battery going dead, but you already got a new one.

Check your grounds maybe. The flickering is common, the clock resetting makes me think there's a ground or voltage issue somewhere.

Take a second and check the battery connection maybe they are loose.
Sound like it could be a bad ground somewhere as well!

first thing to check is the negative cable on the battery. make sure it is nice and tight.

This. I was being lazy and not caring about the clock resetting, and it got to the point where one day my car wouldn't start because it was so loose. Tightened it up, and it's been fine since.
