Clutch engagement noise/problem?

Yesterday I was in traffic on the highway cruising in third gear, as traffic started to pick up I went to shift into 4th and when I pushed the clutch in I could not get it to go into 4th, after pumping the clutch a few times then it went into 4th but I had to force it a little bit. 5th kinda had the same problem but it went in on the first try. Today the car idles normally no noise from the clutch, but when I push the clutch pedal all the way down, there is a loud and I mean noticeably loud noise coming from the clutch/transmission, when I left off the pedal it's gone. I drove the car around though and everything works fine, except when I was at a stop sign and put it into first, when I left off the clutch to get the car going there was some vibration in the pedal but it went away as soon as I let off the clutch.

Question is.... Is the clutch going or ?

Update #1: Dealership called me to confirm I wanted them to take apart the clutch/transmission assembly. It will be covered under warranty unless the problem is found to be with the clutch pressure plate or disc which I'm confident it is not or at least that's what I'm hoping for.

Update #2: The throw out bearing was to blame! This is probably the best worst thing that has ever happened to my car because now I'm having the GMPP clutch installed for free because everything is covered under warranty.

Damn that sucks. I am at like 66,000 on the stocker.

I can give you some lessons if you want

Well let me know what clutch you end up getting and how you like it. I am sure I will need one pretty soon. Stock one doesn't grab like it used to lol.

probably not the TOB. they tend to make noise when the clutch is engaged and the noise goes away as soon as you step on the pedal

I just took my car into the shop because it wasn't going into gear like you were talking about OP. Also to get the car into gear, would have to start it in 1st and start moving immediately b/c the car sounded like it wanted to die even with the clutch pedal engaged. I'm not sure if it's the same thing or not, but my problem had to turned out to be the hydraulic system. The slave cylinder, etc. need changed. Evidently if the fluid in the reservoir turns black that's the culprit.

the dealership will let me know tomorrow... still hoping and praying its going to get warrantied. I mean if I was going 200 mph and then shifted into R for race mode and my clutch didnt work anymore.. I would definitely fix this on my own dollar. But breaking down in traffic is kinda lame.... lol
