haha i freaked out when mine first started to do it too man, after a while, you get really used to it. nothing to be worried about. theres a few more threads like this floating around, to read up some more, just search for "clutch clicking" or something along those lines....

IIRC it's the "switch" that is engaged when you push the clutch in to start the car. the same switch that'd be overridden by a remote starter.

It happens to mine and probably every1 elses. I can even get it to click without even shifting....If I have my windows down and i'm surrounded by buildings, I tap the gas and it clicks....but usually it happens when I up or downshift

mine does it too. im sure it always was there but i never noticed it cause i always blast the radio or the windows are open. i just noticed it when i drove with the radio off. on my old car it used to click to let u know where to set the pedal at to tighten it so its not loose. i dont know if this is the same. but i def wouldnt worry about it.

I dont think thats your clutch clicking at that point.. I have the same thing, from what I understand it could be an axle or intermediate shaft, going to take mine in for it. Seems to be getting worse now that I have S2 and I'm gettin on the gas harder now

right its the clutch position sensor, when you hear the click, it shows the clutch being engaged

I don't think mine was always like that... I'm sure I would have noticed it sometime in the last 2 years prior to last week...

Mine started after I pushed to clutch pedal too hard one day.

Pretty sure it is just start intertlock switch.

I know there are clicks for the clutch engaging and stuff...but my SS has a different noise when the clutch is pressed down. It sounds like it's grinding or something...I have taken it to the dealership and it seems to "disappear" when the mechanic listens for it...like what the heck.

Anybody have ANY idea what this intermittent "grinding" is? It sounds like a spring has gone or something...
