Condensation in my headlight
Condensation in my headlight
Hey guys i found my headlight started to get condensation inside of it, and ive never opened the headlight, the only thing i can think of was maybe a bulb came loose and airs getting in, and the humidity is getting high in there, but idk it started like 3 days ago, could something have broke?
that is the stock headlights
i cant remove the eyelids, they painted on, and idk if the HID's will do anything, i mean its just a light

Hmm, painted on you say? Well throw the stock bulbs back in and give it a shot. The worst they can do is say no, the best is you get a new headlights and need to paint it. Honestly tho I don't see where paint would void it.
true but, it jsut happened the otehr day, maybe i broke it somehwere and made a crack, idk ill cehck it out further tomorrow
I'm betting you didn't.
It's a common GM thing. We had an SS S/C in a couple of days ago with a fogged passenger headlamp. Just look at every Silhouette/Venture/Montana and you'll agree with me that it's a common GM thing. My Buick Regal had fogged up fog lamps (lol) and water-filled center tail light.
If they don't warranty the replacement I would suggest taking it apart, cleaning it out and resealing it. Not hard.

They all do that, its the seal around the outside, some cars just start after a little while, some are like that when new. Let the dealer replace the one that is bad, as long as you haven't taken it apart it should be covered. Make sure its not melted from the HID or anything, that would be the only reason they could blame you.
The headlamps actually have vent holes so air can get in and out anyways... they aren't sealed units.
Lemme ask you this... did you spray directly on the headlight with the hose when washing it? I know mine will fog if I hose them directly... I have to rinse them very lightly and let the water run off.

I had condensation in my driver headlight when the car was new. I took it to the dealership and it was replaced under warranty. There has not been a repeat of the problem.
I believe there is a TSB regarding the headlights.
