Cruise Control Intermittent Failure?

So... my cruise has been kinda sporadic recently. Sometimes it works... sometimes you press the button and get nothing.

I had the dealer check it today... the tech reported several "communication failures" that were stored in the computer. So they reprogrammed the cruise and cleared the codes. We'll see what happens.

Have any of the rest of y'all had cruise problems?

Do y'all use cruise that often?

Next time you can get it to set, try putting your foot behind the brake pedal and pulling up on it. My cruise wouldn't engage sometimes when I first got my car. My brother called me one day while following me home from the beach to ask if I was riding with my foot resting on the brake and I said "no." Turns out that my brake light switch was messing up; the pedal wasn't coming all the way up; it lacked about 1/4" or less of cutting off the light. With the brake light switch not being deactivated the cruise would not set. I took it back to my dealer and requested them replace the switch; they "adjusted" it but I rarely have that problem anymore. If you can pull up on the brake pedal and then the cruise will set, you've found your problem. Any pressure from the clutch or the emergency brake not being all the way down will also cut out the cruise. If you don't put the e-brake down it will remind you of course.

I had same exact problem, but we through in a bcm for the brake lights, and a brake switch for the cruise inop. concern. No problems, works 100% of the time now, i think its the legit fix for the time being.

it acts up on me every once and a while. Its something that will be brought up the next the car goes in to get worked on, along with the leather trim on the door, interior door handle clicking, and some kind of rustling noise coming from my driver side vent when the AC is on.

eh mine stoped working completely and i had them look @ it at the dealership anda they reset some code to make it work again... something to do with me not disabling it correctly or the clutch being not all the way out when enabled or disabled...

That's just the way it was filed. It was pulled from a government website. I haven't felt like spending the $$$ to get an in depth TSB list from Alldata.com yet. Was hoping someone else would and post it here. hehe

All of my steering wheel controls seem to not work at least once a week, maybe. The car is still new so I am wondering if I am just not pressing the buttons hard enough. I am still trying to get used to the car, plus I do not drive it every day. It does seem like sometimes I have to press the button several times to make it work..

My cruise did not work for a bit .
So I tried holding the left hand cruise button in, and pushing the set button in and the cruise worked it would work until i let go of the left button.
I pushed hard on the left button and heard a clicking noise and now it works fine again.
So Im thinking the left button was the culprit.
