As far as I know there are 2 possible solutions...

1) Disconnect the battery for awhile

or

2) your sensors screwed you need a new one

Check your brake lights.
Sometimes if there is one out the cruise will not work.

Do the battery trick first. A ton of times the cruise control part of the computers just ends up shitting the bed and glitching out. The battery disconnect resets it.

I've has my car for 27 months now and never used it. Maybe I should try it to see if it works. Hope you find the problem with yours.

Is it a stick? If so if you ride with your foot on the clutch that is your problem. There are a few post on here about it. Apparently the smallest amount of pressure on the clutch pedal will activate a switch and will not let the cruise engage. Unplugging the battery will clear it up if that is what it is.

I have a 2006 ss and my cruise control stopped working as well its more than likely the switch mine hads to be replaced. I was still able to use the volume controls that are connected to the same switch but the cruise control button showed a open circuit and needed to be replaced I would just try replacing the switch.

Cruise control problems usually come from the following:

1. Excessive clutch switch signal. If you ride the clutch or if you push the clutch in a certain amount of times (I think 10 times) without changing gears then an "invisible" DTC will be set which disables the cruise control. This can be cleared by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes.

2. The clutch switch is malfunctioning.

3. The brake light switch is malfunctioning.

4. I have also heard that if you have a brake light out, especially the the third brake light, that it can cause the cruise control to disengage when it is set.

Idk if anyone posted this, but brake And clutch wear can cause the pedals to sag and that can cause the CC to not set. I have to lift the pedal up with my foot when I wanna set it. And I need brakes, ordered em yesterday.
