well it sounds like mines clicking, gotta go to the dealership tommorow, anyone else had this issue? im kinda nervous....they better not try to F*** around with me as ill blow up right there
I had the same thing happen to me .. and it still is happening. Took it to the dealership and they tell me that they dont hear a thing. Pissed me off soo bad but imma wait till it breaks and take it to them and be like i told you so bitches
yeah i had to take time off of work, and im driving half an hour to get there, they are gonna hear the damn noise
Yes mine has been doing it for awhile now.
have taking it to the dealership 4 times and they claim they dont hear it."BullSH!T"
But it has gotten worste over time and im bringing it to dealership tomorrow and having a tech take a ride with me." HE WILL HE IT ,TRUST ME"
Does yours do it in all gears as you shift and take off? " click, click"
Mine real bad now and its real loud when backing up on a slight incline "pop click"
So they will be fixing MY CAR after they hear it tomorrow "NO MORE BS"
Ps ... how many mile are on your Balt?
I have around 34,000
Take it to the dealership and GOOD LUCK
BULLSH!T they dont hear it
Im getting really tired of hearing the damn noise when i take off .. but after like 6 times of taking it to the dealership and getting a run around im tired of it. So im gonna wait till she breaks and throw it in their faces.
Same here.
Mostly when taking off in first but mine has gotten worste where I hear it even when shifting 1st to 2nd and sometimes 3rd.
real bad when backing up.
And now its on both side when it first started only on the driver side.
My Balt doesnt have LSD either
I was thinking the same thing if they give me BS again.
And who know what else it will take out when it does let go finaly.
Could send **** through the hood or tranny, then they will wish they would have fixed it sooner.
Just dont feel like getting stranded somewhere

My passenger side axle is already out of its boot...i'm not gonna fix it until it actually breaks on me because I could actually care less...besides i'm not beating on my car at all, haven't been since the last time I was at the track...
could it possibly sound anything with the brakes and it will be a shitty dealership if they dont do something to fix the noise i would make it a point to let them know how far you had to drive and you had to take time off work cause it will be crappy if they look at and say oh there is nothing wrong stress that you have to drive so far and had to take time off work to make sure your car is not gunna fail on you
Checked into my clicking with a buddy and he said he can see the brake pads shifting back and forth depending on which direction you move ,thats why you hear two clicks one for each pad check it out yourself and let me know.
My rotors are quite grooved and I think the pads are getting snagged an the edge of the groove.

I brought mine in for it earlier this summer, and told them "if you cant get it to make the noise let me know, I'll show you". They ordered parts however its been almost 3 months and I've kept calling and getting BS, its still on order replies. So I made a visit last week and they've got the CV's on rush order from another dealership.
Well fellow Balt members.
Took my Balt into the dealership today"had a appointment for the 5th time" and took the service manager for a ride, well didnt even pull out of the lot and it went "click click pop" so he went and got one of the tech's and had him hear it, again "click click pop"
Well tech said it is surely the axles cvu joint making the noise.
So today theyre ordering me new axles finaly and will call me when they come in to get replaced
.
It took 5 time but at least im happy now that theyre replacing them.
So anyone have this noise get your axles checked and dont let them give you BS.

Well wanted to give the forum a update so far.
My axles came in on friday and will be put in tomorrow"monday"
.
I will let you all know how it goes and how long it takes for the stealership to put them in.
It will be nice to hear my Balt not click and pop anymore after dealing with it for awhile now.

No Doubt !!!
That will cure the Crappy axles in the Balts for sure.
I figured my Balt is still under warranty , why not have them friggin fix it for now.
Then when these go I will save up for the stage 2 400hp axles
Well heres a update on my Balt.
Took car to stealership today they started looking at things and decided the " click, pop" noise isnt coming from the axles but the lower control arms "wich are on National backoder" well why is that I asked the service manager??
National Backorder!!!
He replied its a common problem.
Then I asked well has there been a recall??
He said no.
Well if its a common problem and its on nation recall then why isnt this a recall from GM??
Well the manager told me he should have them in soon " few days" then to bring my car back so they can put them in.
A question I must ask the forum.
If it the lower control arms, the only thing I think that could be wrong with them is the bushings.
Cant they just be press out and replaced?
If thats the case wouldnt it be a good idea just to replace the bushing with polys??
They are going to replace the whole control arms on both side.
Weird if you ask me.
I wish I could get the old ones back.. Damn I would put poly in them and if they start going bad again" newones" then just replace them with the poly ones
Well I will keep forum updated
So for you clickers out there, have your control arm checked for play
