Damn Supercharger

So I've been hearing the infamous "marbles in my supercharger" for the past few months. It's very random, and when I've heard it, by the time I got to the dealership, it stopped making the noise. I'm pretty sure it's the coupler. I even dropped my car off for almost a week and let them drive it around in any way they could to try and duplicate the noise we all here, but apparently it didn't make the noise. I told them it's either the coupler or timing chain, but they wouldn't even look into it without hearing something. I'm so annoyed!

That's the thing though...for one, I'm not the best with working under the hood, and two I'm only about 95% sure the coupler is the problem from what I've read on here.

its really simple. im sure theres a write up somewhere. belt off, s/c off (4 bolts), take the snout off (i think 8 bolts), replace coupler, add new s/c oil. put back together.

Have you heard it with the hood up and pinpointed it to be the super charger ?

Ive heard similar and it was the cam chain(Known problem with the tensioner)

I've listened to it with the hood up as well. I'm not sure if it's the coupler or tensioner. That's why I don't want to do this myself. I just wish it would continue making the noise when I take it in, or at least do it more regularly. Right now it's just really random.

I thought mine was the coupler, chain or idler pulley/tensioner....

The sound was traveling...

What annoys me is that I heard the sound two days in a row. Both days I drove the car straight to the dealer and by the time I made it there, it had stopped. Then the dealership had it for almost a week. I figured with them being able to have cold starts, warm starts, and have it all that time they would certainly be able to duplicate the sound but nothing happened.
