Does anyone not have problems ?

I was seriously considering buying an SS but after reading these forums everyday looking at all the updates with peoples problems I have thought twice about buying now.

Would anyone of you guys here do it all over again if you had a choice... or would you buy another car ?

Thank's for your help.

Oh snap can't help you out with that. But I can guarantee there are more without problems than those with problems.

Mine has no kinks thus far lol. To the OP, a lot of cars have problems, but you will love the cobalt.

Yep. I'd select a different modification path, but I'd definitely do it again. You gotta remember, this is a forum meant to share information and help w/ problems. There are thousands out there that don't participate or just don't have problems.

Every car forum is going to have people bitching about issues. It's important to recognize that most of the issues that come up on this forum are the owners fault one way or another...

I think he was talking about the 08/09's, but not bad 38k miles (i'm sure some hard driving) and needing a clutch. What year balt?

Wow you guys great, thank you for the quick reply s. Keep them coming...
I was wondering what are the differences in suspension between the 07 and the 08 ?

I was also thinking if I buy the 07 I wanted the 4 piston Brakes are the cheap and easy to through on to the 07.

again thanks for you help.

So just joking man,
You are 100% correct. The only problems either car has had are because I chose to modify them.

06 ss/sc (now t/c'd) as for 08's reason I didn't buy an 05..... never buy a first model year of a car. always some random issues. Hold off til the 09's or mid production revamped ones are out.
and yeah I beat the **** out of my car on a pretty much daily basis. It;s all in the tuning.

The 08's also come with MacPherson strut front suspension, keep in mind the brembo's will not allow the spare to fit. I thought about doing them on all 4 but I would need to keep a full spare on hand, no thanks....

yea us 05s didnt even get a GM seal of approval.....

not that them approving things is worth something. Im sure every cobalt owner has warped their rotors or has the passenger window going down slower than the driver's (2 dr).

So the only suspension difference between the 07 and 08 is the front struts ?

Thanks

I haven't had any problems with mine. You're not going to hear about people without problems because people don't post threads that say "Update: My car is at 20k miles and I've had no problems."

Plenty of people that do have problems are modders. I was not one but mine was a production line issue not a bad parts issue. So you should be just fine.

Got an 08 SS / TC

I feel ya bro. You are gonna find a lot of problems on these forums. This is where everyone comes for advice. I was thinking the same thing as you before I got mine. Honestly its the best buy for the money and its a fun as hell car stock. Best of all you got all that under warrenty.

Don't listen to those "Honda or its crap" guys. They don't know what the hell they are talking about. Look at a honda forum you will see just as many problems.

37,000 miles on mine and im on the stock clutch, stock unturned rotors, stock everything but tires. The only problems ive had is a rattle that I had to locate myself because my dealer couldnt fix it before the bumper to bumper went out......and My steering shaft just started poping also right after the bumper to bumper went out grrrrrr. Still love the car have no regrets and cant wait for a stage kit.

you do realize this site accounts for less than maybe a 10th of cobalt sales.
