Driver Door Problems

Ok first off I would like to say hey Im new to the forum. I hate I have to start off with a problem but here it is. I bought this car over the weekend and this problem started yesturday. The driver door will not open from the inside. I can pull hard on the outside handle a couple time and it will open then. It just does it over and over don't know what to do about it. Not like I can take it to the dealer without paying a arm and leg since its out of warrenty. Let me know if you have the fix. Thanks

First, welcome to the mad-house lol. And 2nd... so the door will open eventually? Check all the latches and linkages for the door/handle. Its not hard to pop off the door panel. How are the hinges? What year is it?

does the inner door handle feel light weight / not connected? this occurs mostly when raining out?

Mine did this too, when I bought it... alot of lube later\.

it has to do with the power lock not fully disengaging the lock

mechanism.. a lot of lube in inner door lock...alot of use of power door lock..

use flat head screwdriver to move lock mechanism in inner door

P.S - stuck inside? wiggle lock top - up and down, with alot of movement

take the door apart and clean linkage or free/grease it..

this is what I did:
worked it. I mean worked it! use the power locks over and over
use white lithium grease on lock mechanism

its either a build up of grease/rust which is causing the binding
or electrically moisture is effecting it

I have not had a problem since spring.... that dam door!!!
