Emissions Light
Emissions Light
Emission light on, went to Advanced Auto and they put there handheld computer on it and it show "Lean Conditions , Pending" Any suggestions for this? Thanks in advanced, Troy
Any ideas on cost of this repair, i just bought this car on sat. drove it about 60 miles and the light came on. I got the code cleared and it hasnt came back on yet. would the dealer putting cheap gas or just a lower octane caused this problem? Thanks

if you have a set of sockets and a coat hanger then cost = nothing, just gut the cat
but if you would like to have it replaced the dealer should do it under warrenty.

What is the warranty on the cat? I bought it used with 38000 miles on it. Awesome car just hate to have problems this fast!!! I was hoping it was something simple, i bought from a dealer about an hour away and hate to take it back up there. Could it have been the gas he put in it?
i dont believe that it has any aftermarket parts on it, Intake

2005 Cobalt SS Supercharged 2.0 I'm Not sure what the number of the code was just that it was "Engine Lean" and it said it was pending. Does this help? I can take it back and have them check it again because the light came back on tonight, they reset last night and i got about 2 or 3 miles and it came back on.
Great News I fixed the problem with the help from this site!!!!! I found a soggy air filter [power washed at dealership before i bought i'm sure] so i replaced filter and cleaned mass air flow sensor at same time. Then i checked all hoses and vaccuum lines and found two that were actually split so i temp. repaired them with electrical tape, after three starts the light went out and has not came back on. [fingers crossed]. Thanks for all the input
