engine power reduced
engine power reduced
So my car keeps saying engine power reduced for the last couple days. Car has no power once it happens and it sounds like ****, I pull over and start it a couple times and it will be back to normal and sometimes run fine for a bit and then do the reduced engine power again.. I cleaned the maf sensor, throttle body, the sensor on top of the supercharged, checked the connections on the throttle body and it still does it. I dont wanna have to bring it to a dealership if I dont have to. I got 5 codes
p0171 system to lean
p0069 Map-Barometric pressure correlation
p0121 Throttle/pedal position sensor/switch a circuit range/performance problem
p0068 Map/maf throttle position correlation
p2228 barometric pressure circuit low input
If you guys have any ideas please let me know!

Those sensors are fed by the same fuse, check to see thay its seated firmly in the underhood fuse box.
I think its the emiss fuse but not sure with out looking it up.Sounds like a voltage problem.
Check the wiring to each sensor as well for chaffing or bare wires where some grounding could be taking place.
You could also make sure the ecm connector is seatad properly.

I'm not the one trying to fix my car.
99.9% of the time... its the TB. If your problem isn't that... best of luck to you. The guidelines for figuring it out have already been posted. Do a little work and figure it out.

Yeah... tried a new different throttle body so that is obviously not the problem here. Don't worry I'll get it figured out. Gotta say that 99.9% seems to be pretty far off though. Because I've seen a lot of people replace the throttle body now and have seen no difference. Gonna load a different tune and see if that does anything.
Mine did the same thing. First the dealer replaced the Barometric Pressure and MAP sensors. Fixed it for all of 2 months, then they had to replace the TB (Thankfully I had GMPP on that... those parts are expensive.)
Mine used to do something very similar. As long as the gas pedal was pushed in, it would never do it... but as soon as you let off the pedal... that's when it would usually do it.
Yep. Seen the same exact symptoms on 6 different friend's cars... replacing the TB worked on every single one. If you bought a used TB, it could be bad already. I've seen TB's come off cars in perfect order... shipped to someone else, and not work worth a damn. Had it happen to my once... and a friend twice.
I have a theory that playing with the butterfly and/or soaking them with TB Cleaner kills them, as well.

Damn you and these things that you see...
When I took my old throttle body off I put it on the shelf and literally moved once to a different spot on the shelf... lol Nothing was ever wrong with it either. Next time I have a buddy over with a working TB I'll have to take it off their car real quick to make sure.

Haha. Car's are fkn bitches. I've literally taken working TB's off of cars and shipped them to people only to have them say that they don't work and are throwing all sorts of codes. BTW, if you ever DO sell and ship a TB... always mark it before shipping (a defining scratch, or something along those lines)... so when they claim it doesn't work, you have them send it back. I DID have a joker try to send me back HIS old TB once. No dice, beotch. I was onto his game.
its the barrometric pressure sensor
mine was doing the same thing not too long ago with some of the same codes
took it in and thats what they changed out and i havent had the problem since
