Filter Fitting.

The filter i recently got with my CAI isn't quite fitting any tricks or tips to get the air filter on? & i was considering if their were no ways to get the Filter on i would just buy another air filter from autozone. for my second question would the spectre air filter would that fit more flush with the 3 inch piping or no?

What kind of car do you have? I'm guessing the 2.2. Do you have any pictures of how the filter is fitting? It could be that one of your gromets from the intake isn't fully seated. I'd need to look at it to be able to tell you.

2.2 Liter. no i don't best right now is to just describe it. the filter i have obviously is threaded i press it up against the 3inch piping of my intake and it honestly looks a bit too small off by maybe a few centimeters if that, i tryed twisting the Filter around the end of the piping to see if it would catch with the threads but no luck. what do you mean by gromets not being fully seated? ill try to take pics tomorrow. ill have all day to work on it.

My injen filter isnt threaded .It just slide on and clamped..
I think the one you have is to small of dia for the pipe you have.
Measure the pipe to see what size you need.

Yeah the measurements are close but another half inch would probably get it on to be honest. ill just go to autozone see if they have a bigger filter or what not.
