Well, my SS is at the dealer now. I was driving and I lost my boost gauge and on my DIC I had PowerSteering readout. I thought that I would take it home call the dealer and take it in. Guess what? It did not even crank to turn over. I think I fried a computer or ignition. This sucks, dealer does not know when I will have it back and they gave me a 4 door loaner that is the most disquisting car I have ever been in. We will see what happens. That is the problem with buying an 2005, but my service guy is cool and got it atleast in the building over night.

 

Ok now from expierence and from working at a dealer it could be something really stupid like a speedo cable. I drove a black ss 4door that only had one gear and no gauges. i got it back from the 1 mi drive in 1st gear lol that was fun and it was just a speed sensor that got fucked up. So i wouldnt worry too much the dealer will fix it up and it will definately be under warranty.

 

I don't think these cars have speedo cables, do they? I think it's just a generated signal from the trans.
