front end collision repair

I'm out with a girl today driving on Manchester and a car turns coming the other way. I have a yellow light and they have a yield. We collide, my airbags deploy, and now I have a brutally damaged front end. How much will a front assembly cost for a Cobalt?

I don't know about the cost to repair, but I have a passenger airbag for sale.

I had just a fender bender. Ended up coming to 3200 I believe. Bumper cover, bumper bar behind it, rad, heat exchanger.

Depending how bad yours is, it will be a pretty penny. Anything damaged as far as Motor?

As far as I can tell, the motor runs great. I think all the damage is in the headlights bumper, fenders, windshield and everything that holds those parts together (brackets, etc.).

I no longer like Honda Accords, by the way. That guy should have yielded. It was my right of way.

Don't hate the car because of the driver, hate the car because of the maker (or not)

I'm just joking. They're respectable cars. The driver was a really nice guy actually. I just hope his insurance is cooperative.

Police Report & Shelter Insurance

I just got the police report today and the other guy claimed he had a green light when it was a yellow yield—*******! The cop also misquoted me in my section of the report. Can I argue the police report?

The other guy uses Shelter Insurance and they said they'd have an estimator come out on Tuesday, which got pushed back to today, which now they claims only comes out one day of the week—Thursday. They also said that they use some third party to get the police report and that usually takes 2-3 weeks. I'm going to go ahead and mail them a copy of the report, email them about it, and call to make sure they received it. Can anyone give me some insight into Shelter Insurance? They're starting to act really sketchy.

I'll let you guys know what the estimate is when I get it.

Allstate is one of the worst auto insurance company to deal with when you have a wreck, Geico is the same way. If you tell them you will be talking with a lawyer about the accident and whose fault it was and about their slow actions of getting your car fixed and them paying for a rental while your car is in the shop, they should jump at getting it fixed for you in a jiffy.

They called today. They are taking liability for the accident. The damage is over$9300. Apparently a transmission mount was destroyed, damaging the Hydra-Matic. Both front airbags deployed and the hood, driver fender, headlights, and bumper are obliterated. My car is totalled. I could kill right now.

I will be recovering the stereo equipment from the car, but not the cables and not the performance parts. I will also grab my rims.

wow sorry to hear that bro. I had an accident in february. took an SUV to the drive side front 1/2 panel. snapped my suspension, devastated my hood, bumper, everything on taht side and my airbag deployed. 9700 plus the cost of a rental for a month and they didn't total it.

strip it for what its worth and sell the parts here.

It's complicated because I'm also leaving for college today. I think I have to just take a loss on the Magnaflow catback, JunYan halo-projectors, and AEM cold-air intake.

Dude, you're throwing away probably almost $700 in sell-able parts right there...Even if it took you 6 hours to swap the parts you still make a killing
