so im doin a tvs install. i did a few tunes with trifecta. running into a few problems. belt slipping a bit and water pump died. easy fix. but on the way to work on my car at a shop my car runs out of gas when its showing full. i put 4 gallons in it and now it shows 3/4 of a tank. took it to a gas station and put 6 mor gal in it and its showing 1/4 tank. has this ever happened to anyone?

 

Did you trade PCMs at any point?.. 05s read the gas gauge backwards from all the other years... or maybe you were flashed with a tune from the wrong year?

LoL Get a black Cat Custom Gauge for your fuel and have that reversed Problem solved.

thats what happens when you have the wrong year PCM.. vince gets your tune by your vin.. so i'm guessing you got a new pcm and it's from a different your then your car is. so when vince flashed you with the correct year it was all like ZWTF lol

 

Yeah, 05-06 they changed polarity on the fuel sender aparrently. Can't switch PCM's over without getting a reverse reading. It still works, it just goes up as you run outta gas. So fill up when you get over 3/4 tank now

Well, that is a good thing to note then. I have an 05 and I was just going to order a PCM whenever I get around to going Stage II since this car is my DD.

got an email from vince. its in the tune. guess my year has the polarity reversed on my guage. itll get fixed when i update my tune. but i did like that guage mod. except for one thing, my car would still be flashing low fuel whenever i top my tank off
