How much does it usually cost to get a fuel pump replaced on a Cobalt in a shop?

Is it the in tank fuel pump or is it an engine mounted pump as you will find on the turbo cars?

I think my buddy was quoted like 1k for the in tank pump. Ended up doing it ourselves. Time consuming, but easy. If its the hpfp on the head, it takes 30 mins to replace.
