Got codes...now what?

My check engine light is on and I went got them read. The codes that came up was: P0013, P0128, P0106. Can anybody tell me which one of these codes are setting off the other ones or is this a common code that pops up. I'm trying to get my car inspected but can't because of the check engine light. I need help on fixing this issue. Thanks in advanced.

It'd help to know what year, trim and engine your cobalt has.

The P0128 means your thermostat is stuck open.

The P0013 may be related to the cam phasing system. I'm thinking intake side.

Not sure on the P0106.

p0128 could also mean your low on coolant. check that before replacing the thermostat. plus you can check your thermostat by boiling a pot of water on the stove and dropping it in there, if you hear a click its good if not then its bad. as for codes with possibilities of what the problems could be take it to your local autozone they do it for free

My cobalt is a '06 2.4l with the SS badge but not an SS. Autozone were the ones that told me the codes. My main thing is I don't want to fix the cam sensor or the map sensor and it doesn't fix the problem...ya know?

I posted a master DTC list here because they were cool enough to make a TSb section ....... there were a lot of people on this site with access to GM Service information for years but they wouldn't put all the info we posted here together .... so trying to dig it up on this site is almost impossible now.

KEY:
DTC
DTC Descriptor
Module That Sets the DTC

P0106
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Performance
ECM
DTC P0106 for the 2.0L engine or
DTC P0106 for the 2.2L or 2.4L engine

P0013
Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) Actuator Solenoid Control Circuit
ECM
DTC P0010, P0013, or P2088-P2091 for the 2.0L engine or
DTC P0010 or P0013 for the 2.2L or 2.4L engine

P0128
Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature
ECM
DTC P0128 for the 2.0L engine or
DTC P0128 for the 2.2L or 2.4L engine
