^^ agreed. why are you taking it out of gear while driving? and are you shifting through the gears like it's a manual tranny?

So you say when the car shifts on its own its jumps a little? Like when your not putting it in neutral and what not?

First check the fluid level and oddly enough smell....see if it smells burned....

If thats all good hopefully your still under warranty take that thing back in immediately. Automatic transmission problems are nothing to mess around with....even some of the best master mechanics will scratch there head over an automatic transmission.....they are very complex and can be difficult to diag....

I'm assuming you mean when you are driving normally and not Fast and Furious style...

no what i do is ill shift it into neutral when im goin down hills just becuse.. im not trying to make it be like a manual.. im not retarded and im not reving in up to 4k and shifting back to drive.. thats stupid.. this doesnt happen all the time.. but i mean ill drive and ill, say, back out of a parking spot.. shift into Drive and itll jump.. for some reason and then ill drive and then when it shifts itll jump.. on its own not my fault..

P.s. : I dont rev at all when i am in neutral.. so i have no idea.. I hope that helps everyone

Hard shifting can be the result of loose mounts. Get it checked.

I would say that there is no way that a CAI would have an effect on your transmission. So I think you would be ok leaving it in

if you are that hesitant and want to remove it then do so. I can't see them telling you that the reason your transmission is not shifting right is because your engine is getting more air. But i suppose better safe than sorry

Well, it's hard for us to gauge the problem from our computers. If this is something that happens all of the time I would take it in.

Oh and just so you know, there's actually a bulletin about aftermarket filters/intakes, and it actually mentions automatic trans shifting. If I were you I would definately take it off as the bulletin informs dealers that one thing that an aftermarket filter/intake may do is alter auto trans shifting.

I'm not saying it is that; you asked if you should take off the CAI. Depending on the dealer you may want to take it off, because they have been informed that an aftermarket filter can cause auto trans shifting issues, you see what I'm saying.

Sounds like maybe either the mounts are bad, or the idle is higher than normal, its should be around 800rpm, if its over 1000rpm that would do that, if it shifts had all the time, then could be a valve body issue on the tranny, to much pressure inside the trans.. get it checked out.

I had this problem with my 06 Pursuit GT (2.4l) but I also had the problem of the TC 'off' light coming on. My TC would not work and when the light was on it would shift reallt rough. Turned out to be my ECM.

well its could defintelty be the motor and tranny mounts. It could also be the valve body in the transmission too. To much fluid pressure. I would definetly take it in for a look.

Also off topic but I posted before in this post and my post is gone. Why are my posts being removed?
