Well I have a 08 cobalt ss/tc and my check engine light is on, code p2187 system to lean, the car is backfiring alot, and my boost guage is only reading 5-7 psi from it's usual 15-17, I filled the car up with gas last night using shell v-power and after I was done filling it up I went to crank it and it wouldn't turn over, it was trying, but I gave it a little gas and it turned over, that's when it started to back fire after that, and the boost problem and cel all happend when I got in it today, started up fine, my vent tube for my battery is broken, any ideas??? do you have any mods? check the itake and charge piping. but everytime i get gas that happens to me too. ******* annoying. dont know why though. Oh and also check the vacuum hoses on the intake.

 

Well just an update to my problem, I took it to the dealership today and explained to them the issues I was having with my car, they pulled it into the garage and found that the purge solenoid was stuck open, they replaced the purge solenoid valve and it's been running great ever since, no problems, did find out there was a recall on my car, it's a stud and retainer for the charging pipe so it dosent vibrate off, that's how they explained it.

 

Dude, I've got the same issue, it wouldn't make boost and the CEL wouldn't come on, then sometimes it would come on not make boost, or make boost. I had the hard start issue too. She's at the dealership now, I'm hoping to hear back soon.
