HELP!! Girlfriends car, dealer cant find probs

my girlfriend is having a ton of problems with her 06 ls coupe and she has already taken it to the dealer but they said they didnt find anything. Any insight or solutions to the problems would be very very helpful since i am out of state for the time being.

Problems:
1. Dome light wont stay on. I can fix but shouldnt have to, dealer should.
2. Noise from pass side front tire (i think), sounds like wheel bearing going out. When i heard it it only made the noise in left turns, but now she says it does it more often.
3. After getting gas the other day she started the car, put in reverse and it wouldnt move. She restarted and it went fine.
4. When starting the car now she has to hold the key turned for a couple seconds before it will crank. Starts fine after cranks.

Anyone else heard of these problems?? What they are so i can call dealer to tell them what to look at specifically?

That is some odd stuff...the only thing I can really say is that most likely the wheel need to be balanced. I had the same thing on my old car, and I thought it was the bearing...until I went in for my regular tire rotation, and they balanced it for me, and it was smooth as ever. I was so close to replacing the entire assembly, too...

Problems:
1. Dome light wont stay on. I can fix but shouldnt have to, dealer should. -- Does she have it set right? On one setting it fades to off after a minute or so.
2. Noise from pass side front tire (i think), sounds like wheel bearing going out. When i heard it it only made the noise in left turns, but now she says it does it more often. Welcome to Front Wheel Drive. Have them check the CV Joints/Boots they may need to be replaced/regreased. (I noticed on our LS that there is no grease on the door hinges, which is totally strange. They should be greased from the factory to prevent rust.)
3. After getting gas the other day she started the car, put in reverse and it wouldnt move. She restarted and it went fine. Was she totally in gear?
4. When starting the car now she has to hold the key turned for a couple seconds before it will crank. Starts fine after cranks. Never heard of this. I have only had the car continue to try to start after I let go of the key once or twice.

Anyone else heard of these problems?? What they are so i can call dealer to tell them what to look at specifically?
The wheel noise (sounds like a Shhh Shhhh Shhh Shhh Shhh) we have. When I take it in i'm going to make them inspect the boots/bearings/axle assembly and make them fix it.

My list is this:

#1 Bumper Lopsided just under the passenger headlight it doesn't line up(was NOT when we bought it, but now it is? no accidents.)
#2 Repack the CV joint boots to get rid of the rubbing sound.
#3 Passenger side fabric coming loose from the door rest cup. (TSB on this)
#4 The lip around the Fan Speed knob has had it's black plastic rub off on the edge? going to make them replace it.
#5 Going to have them secure the antenna (it rattled when we first got it, I hand tightened it and it hasn't come back. I'll loosen it before I take it in. I want them to use some locktight on it.)
#6 Going to have them grease those door hinges, possibly make them replace the passenger side bolt that is rusting because it wasn't lubed properly from the factory.
Edit: Oh, and the glove box rattles when going over a bumpy road.
That's it so far. mostly minor issues except for the first 2.

If they say they can't find any problems then she needs to speak to the service manager and have him take a ride with her so she can demonstrate the problems and document it. Then tell her to let the service manager know that "We can't find these problems" is not going to be an acceptable answer when she goes back in to pick it up. Though I really think she just might not have had the car fully in gear concerning the reverse issue. Perhaps they need to check the shifter and make an adjustment to it.

Granted, the list is longer than it was for the toyota's I owned, and I may have to add a few things before we take it in in august, but that's what the warranty is for. If the issues are fixed properly, then it shouldn't be a problem again. If it is, I call GM Cust. Service. the 2nd time around to make sure the issues are fixed. :P

Thats the exact same wheel noise im talking about...the thing is i told them over the phone to look at the bearings when i scheduled it for her but i dont know if they ever looked at it...all they said was the car looked fine and it didnt exhibit the problems to them.

The dome light for some reason worked when she took it up there because they said it worked fine..but ive seen it not working. It just doesnt work period.

The last two things, i cant find out any more since i wasnt there and she didnt investigate it while it happened so thats all the info i have on those.

I think either her car is one of those that fixes itself when it goes to the shop them breaks again after you leave or the dealer is giving her the runaround because she doesnt know what they are talking about on some of these parts.

Some Ideas On Your Problems:

1) Tire Noise - How Many Miles On The Car? Has She Rotated The Tires? If It Is A Low Swishing Sound It Could Be As Easy As She Hasn't Rotated The Tires And Now They Are Starting To Cup. You Should Rotate Every 6000 Miles So If She Is At Like 15k And Hasn't That Could Be Your Noise. Also Have Them Check Suspension/ Cv . A Wheel Bearing Will Generally Start At 35 Mph And When Bad It Will Grind Or Whisle Like An Airplane.

2) Dome Light. This Really Sounds Like She Doen't Know The Settings. Usually There Are 3 Settings Dim Which Turns Off Like A Minute After Closing The Door, Off Completly Or On.

3) Reverse Sounds Like She Didn't Have It All The Way In Gear But Have Them Chk For Codes For Shift Cable- These Cars Have Had Shift Cable Problems.
Although Everytime I Have Seen One The Car Would Not Go Into Gear At All

4) Never Heard Of This. Chk Charging System Battery, Starter, Alternator.

Well the tire thing isn't due to not rotating them, we've only got 3300 miles on the car. It's definitely a problem with the axle assembly. For us it only happens at low speeds. at high speeds the noise "seems" to go away (or it could become constant, making it less noticeable)

Tire Noise - Over the weekend our ss/sc developed a loud scrapping noise from the frt right tire area. What I found is the plastic rocker panel trim (the piece that runs under the doors and mounts in the wheel wells) is missing the fastener in the frt right wheel well. Well, the top of the plastic is now bent towards the the tire and rubs the tire wen turning right. This condition is worse when the road is off camber. Oh, the car has less than 3k miles. Might be worth a look on yours.

Your starting problem sounds unique. These cars use a computer controlled start. You don't have to hold the key in the start position, just tap it to start and release. The computer then engages the starter and releases it when it senses a successful start. If the start sequence doesn't begin right away when you tap the key, but it will after holding it there for a few seconds, that is very odd.
