Help noise coming from right front wheel ?

Theres a road noise like a humming that increases with speed and becomes noticeable above 40mph. The noise does change when I turn the wheel when I turn towards the left it kinda has a grinding feel to it, if i turn to the right it feels smooth

It seems to be inflated, havent tried rotating the tires, could it be out of balance or alignment is way off, theres been alot of snow maybe something is stuck in there?

Braking seems to be normal so I wouldnt think its a warped rotor or anything like that

I'm kinda clueless on this problem as I've never experienced anything like it before, any ideas here?

if indeed it is a wheel bearing i should be able to jack the car up and there should be some play in the wheel correct?

correct jack it up. grab the tire and wiggle left to right you will feel play. there should be no play at all. also spin the wheel and hold onto the spring you should feel the vibration from the wheel bearing.

Is that a bitch to replace on your own? I'm thinking that might be the cause of my vibration in the right front.

i replaced mine in the rear. the fronts i believe you need a press in order to put the bearing in and take it out.

They aren't pressed in but if you live in a place like new england with salt and crap on the roads... it'll be corroded to the knuckle. I had to use an arbor press to get the thing to break free out of the knuckle. Once I got it out, I sand blasted the knuckle and slipped the new one in. I used a Timken bearing, set me back like $130.

Check your axles as well. could be a CV going bad.

Otherwise a hub is a pretty easy job on these cars. Hardest part is getting the axle nut off.

Then you're all set, and it's a pretty straight forward job.
