reverse lights will not come on. i checked fuses, bulbs, wiring. what else is there? i need help i dont want a ticket....i have an sts..if that means anything

 

Reverse switch on your shifter is what tells the car to turn your reverse lights on, check that.

right on the top of your trans is where the sensor is. take and dont jab but take a wire and stick it in one side of the connecter and take the other end to the pos under the hood. turn key to run and put in reverse if your lights come on then change out the sensor

 

Like bamarmyman says but power up the Lt-green wire with 12 volts which is the B labled pin on the connector.

Do you know how to use a multimeter to check continuity,If so a easier way would be to unplug the connector from the reverse switch and using the meter check for continuity between the two pins or sockets on the swich itself when the car is in reverse with the ignition off.
In reverse it should show a low resistance and out of reverse it should show infinity or open conection if the switch is good.

 

take a wire unplug the connecter take 1 end of wire and touch it to the inside of the connector(LT green wire) take other end of wire and stick it to the power on your fuse block. put shifter in reverse..... tell us if the lights are on
