Help "what is "

What does the bottom of the swaybar link connect to on a cobalt ss 2005 standard ?
I can take a pic tomorrow if no one can understand what im talking about . It looks like a twisty pipe that goes into a bushing (close to the rack and pinion) which makes a noise and I can move with my hand so it needs changed but ive never replaced it before .

What causes a lot of noise most of the time is the sway bar bushings. if you are going to go through the trouble in replacing the sway bar end links, you might as well replace the bushings.
