.... here we go again...

rotors replaced 3,000 miles ago due to warpage and severe bitching on my part to get the work done... (wouldnt replace them with gmpp rotors)....

so here i am 3,000 miles later... going down a hill coasting down and i lightly apply the brakes.... what do you know, ******* steering wheel violently shakes.

GM your rotors suck.

i emailed GM took them weeks to get back to me. i told them that many cobalts have been experiencing these problems. they tell me there is no recall or anything to suggest there will be. im just curious... what has to happen for a recall to occur? does someone have to die because of this ****? because i've seen some pretty ****** stupid recalls and somehow i dont get how premature rotor warpage is not a safety hazard.

I've got the same problem. I had the rotors re-surfaced because they won't replace them and had them replace the front pads. A few thousand miles later (like 2k) and the stupid things are warped and have grooves.

By no means do I drive this car hard. can't go over 30mph in bumper to bumper traffic

My wfies cobalt has had the same prob. The dealership replaced them 1 time, and has machined them 1-2 times now. I called the customer care line and they just took all our info and typed in our comments. They said next time they warp to call them. I'm thinking of taking the car to a different dealership and seeing if they will replace them with something different.

i have the same problem. i ordered a set of powerslot rotors and hawk hps pads instead of dealing with GM refacing them or putting on a new set of the cheap ass rotors. mine warped at about 35,000 or so, at least thats when it started to get bad enough for me to want to replace them

I will agree that they are junk rotors...what do you expect from a country no one has even heard of that manufacturers them?

I have 12,600 miles on my car with mainly highway stopping and not even a hint of warpage. *knocks on wood*

within the first 20k i was in the dealer about every 2k. their excuse for constant problems "you live in the mountains going down the hills cause a tremendous amount of heat" but they fixed them everytime until i got sick of bitching at them so I got a diff set, put em on myself didnt have a prob after that

beck, this has nothing to do with ur brakes, but i hate u.......... i wanted those damn wheels so bad (that u have) and they stopped making them in our bolt pattern!................. anyway.... just buy some unleek rotors and ebc green stuff pads, and forget about ur brakes for 2-3 years at leace.
