I will go aftermarket. Now I need to find out what compression ratio I want to use. I have access to ALL tools (I'm an Army Mechanic ). Also while I'm in there I'm thinking of putting a new clutch in there also (SPEC Stage 3+ and flywheel). I'm only praying that my main bearings and/or valves have no problem.

I wish my car sounded/looked like a x-mas sleigh when it blew. I cracked the block, warped the head, and melted the number four piston and my car didn't so much as make a peep.

Actually haven't decided on pistins yet.....Not sure which ones would give me better HP/TQ numbers on blown applications(this is the first sc engined I've owned), and also stand up to the boost I plan on using. I also thought of the spec 2+ but I really don't know the difference between 2+ and 3+ besides the price. I figured they would be a little better but it might be a little overkill for the balt...ALL I know is that I will go with the + versions.

We should make a "blown engine" thread to list how many blew there's. And what products they used. And fitment/installation problems

Wow... just wow...

I know a dozen or more LSJ's with 2.6" or 2.5" pullies. RiceEater had a 2.6 on the stock tune before most people had a 2.8". The only difference here is the complete lack of apparent intelligence on someone's behalf...

There's no reaon in the world that a 2.5" pulley needs some crazy cooling upgrades to prevent the car from blowing up...

If I was going turbo I would get the Mahle.
