I hate my HIDs...

So I had 1st gen projectors in my car and the HIDs started getting weird on me and would stop working, and one side would work, and then neither side would, and then they would work, and they were pissing me off. Plus my leds were being retarded as well.

So I put the stock headlights back in and ordered 8000K 9007 bulbs and used those in the stock lights, and they worked fine. Well I went to ocean city for the weekend and i let my car sit all weekend, and I went to turn the lights on today and they didn;t work.

So i started taking everything apart to try and figure out what was wrong, but i couldn;t figure it out, everything was connected and looked fine. Only thing I can think of was a bad bulb not closing the connection, but I don;t know...

So I said **** it and ripped it all out and just put my piaa 9007 bulbs in and called it a night, i dunno if Im gonna get another hid kit yet or not, but i threw everything else out except one new ballast and the bulbs lol...

Did you install the kits using power relays, or through your stock wires?
Because I bought my headlights/hid kit thirdhand and it was intermittent at igniting until my relays got shipped. Now it ignites immediately every time.

i had that with the hid's in my fog's at first. one would be on and the other on and off. if i played with the harness they would both go in and out. so i ordered a harness from mobilhid.com, put that in, and haven't had a problem since. the harness is important. get a good one, like one from mobilhid.com.
