Look at the bright side - You have an LS - They're cheap as **** for new engines.

Let me know what you broke - I have a longblock with nothin but a bad crankshaft here. Good head and valvetrain, I'll work you out a deal on parts if you need um

False.

You're engine does not measure its compression. Things like this can CAUSE a CEL to be thrown... but when something like this happens... it won't AUTOMATICALLY spidey-sense that something is wrong and throw a CEL... or should I say CEWSL. (Check Engine With Stick Light)

Which is why I replaced the engine.

If this dude just has some bent valves and fucked up valvetrain, my engine would be the perfect donor. The top end is in perfect shape.

the L61 /w 4t45 has a 3rd gear (direct drive) redline at maybe 122mph. i know the auto has a taller final drive (I think 2.95:1), and 4th is the direct drive for the 5sp, so i figured it would be a little less than the 122mph mine is.

My question still is why would you be doin 120+ trying to merge on the highway? I dont know about where your at but here if you go down an on ramp at 120mph you are going double the speed of everybody else
