Has anyone had theirs break? I was riding around today with my fiance and I was getting out and the damn thing just slipped out. Its still connected to the door but i think the connecting rods came off...ggrrr.

Going to the dealership monday.

MINE Started backing a loud cracking sound when opening it. The dealership didn't want to replace it because I got me windows tinted and "they took off the door panel and broke it" while tinting. ********! I called the tinting place and obviously, they DON'T take off the panel when tinting, so the dealership ended up getting a new one installed.

This doesn't wound like the same issue, but they should replace it if you hound them enough.

 

Mine has jiggled lightly ever since I bought the car. Had it warranty serviced with same outcome. Isn't bad enough anymore to bother me though. I reccomend stage 3 super glue. Wait, then it won't open. Oh well.

 

I finally took it to the dealership and there is a TSB out for this problem so there orderng me a new handle setup and installing it under warranty so Im all good now.

 

Good to hear, I seen the tsb on it also,todays cars have to many plastic peices that break to easy

 

My driver side started the clicking about a week after purchase. Told me it was a normal sound. I told em to try the other door and that it had a TSB out for it. He said the other door was making the sound, just "more quiet and at a different time". However, as soon I told em that it didn't make the sound when I had the car for the first week they nicely took it in and looked at it.

They had to order the parts as well. Here are the tech notes regarding the door.

Moved to problems and service.

 

thats exactly whats going on with mine. i bought with the broken handle on the passenger side and i arranged to take it back up there to get a new one put in. i feel like they didnt put a new one in though cause it pops first then it will open the door. also my driver side door speaker sounds blown already an i just got the car last sunday, i havent even played the music that loud an i figured if i was the one to blow it wouldnt the other speakers be damaged too?

 

One thing's for certain, we all must be careful not to become victims of handle poo.

 

The chrome is peeling off mine on the driver's side.I am going to try to get them to replace it when I get the roof foam installed.

 

The rear driver's side door handle just fell out this morning.

 

For those of you with their door handles acting up (inside and out), don't ignore it. Three times in the past two weeks my door handle on the outside was fine but the inside one wouldn't work. And the door wouldn't shut until I played with the lock buttons. Wishful thinking it would go away. Tonight something different: I pull on the handle to get into the car and it wouldn't work. Then inside same thing with the handle. So now I have to (ahem) jump over the stick each time I want to get in/out of the car - driver's door is totally useless. My chiropractor bill just went up

And when I take the key out of the ignition and get out the passenger's side, the music keeps playing. Usually it turns itself off when you open the driver's door. What a pain in the ... now I have to remember to turn off the radio so I don't drain the damn battery.
And my parking spot at home is such that I can only get out of my driver's side

So, preventive medicine: acting up on ya... don't wait for it to be useless, get it looked at now

 

My passanger side door handle wouldnt open after I got it from the dealer so I took it back and they fixed it, I wasn't sure if the dealer messed it up or what I guess it's just a prolbem with te balts.
