UPDATED STATUS: Interior Peeling Door Handle (covered? part number?)
Thanks for the feedback when I initially posted.
Just an update for anyone who's curious:
I took my car in on Monday night. They STILL have it. I should be getting it back today (Friday).
I had 4 or 5 issues, one of which was the door handle peeling - and it wasn't very bad at all, but I wanted it replaced.
They had to order in the handle for me, and they DID replace it with no questions asked. Soooooo, if you were one who took it in for warranty work and they told you they don't cover that - either find another dealer and/or call GM and let them know, because this IS COVERED under your normal 3yr/36,000 mi warranty.
Just for the curious, total repairs/fix under warranty:
Trunk light not fuctioning - repaired
Key Fobs both inoperable - replaced fobs
Peeling/bubbling interior door handle - replaced
Clunking from rear of car - Suspension bushing (not the correct name, I can't rememeber it!) - repaired/replaced
They still have it, as they're trying to replicate a steering column tick and a jumpy/vibrating steering wheel.

Hey there, I have a small cosmetic sort of issue. I know someone else mentioned this, but I couldn't find the thread, and I'm taking my Cobalt in for service tonight.
I have an '07 LT with around 24,000 mi. My driver's side interior door handle is starting too peel (ie. the chrome is peeling at one of the seems; I can feel it peeling when I open or shut my door). It hasn't become an eyesore yet, but it's not far off. I am taking my car in for service/warranty work, and I wanted to call this to their attention and get it fixed/replaced if I am able.
I was wondering if anyone knew the part number, and/or if they'll even replace this since it's not peeling terribly. I'm assuming it's included under warranty?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

whats going on with mine is that the texture on the armrest is almost smooth and if you push hard on it it sill hold you finger print, i took it to my dealer and they said they would have to see because of t the fact that gm has be denying cosmetic warrenty claims
