IP lights gone wild....

OK, I know about the instrument panel brake light coming on randomly and I've had it happen on my car from day one. Now I've got other lights that come on for no reason at all, today the high beam indicator light is now coming on, just like the brake indicator. There was a different one that came on for a split second the other day, I don't believe it was the brake or high beam indicator might have been the airbag light, but it also did the same thing as the others. Has anyone else been having problems with random instrument panel lights other than the brake one coming on????? I'm taking the car in hopefully next week to get it looked at...just wanted to see if this was something others had seen since I hadn't seen posts about anything other than the brake light.

They may have to reflash the computer. I still get the break light from time to time.

That's what I'm figuring but it's concerning to me that more lights are joining in the party...LOL. I wasn't concerned with just the brake light but if this keeps getting worse then I'm going to have disco warning lights going on!!!!!

I don't know, that would be pretty cool. People would be like "how the hell did you get your car to do that?"

The e-brake indicator light or the brake lights?

Cause I have had my brake lights just stay on constantly before. Had a cop pull me over for it actually. Couldn't set the cruise control with them stuck on either.

A reboot (turn the car on and off) fixed the problem.

It's my indicator light.

I did have trouble with my cruise control once. It was great timing too... right at the beginning of a 5 hour trip.

e-brake indicator....I just find it weird that now other indicator lights are participating in the "fun"...

There is a TSB for the brake indicator flashing on and off randomly. Mine was doing it but since I had the computer flashed it hasn't done it since (about a month ago).

I knew about that, but ignored it because it's more of a hassle for me to get the car in with my work schedule so I decided to live with it for a while, but now that the problem is "spreading" mebbe I'll go have it looked at in a couple weeks when I get fall break from class.

My brake light does it all the time...also have seen the check engine light flash a few times too. Nothing other than that though.

I completely jinxed myself by reading this post yesterday...tonight my high beam indicator flashed for no apparent reason. That's 3 now - brake, check engine, and high beam. They just flash randomly, I've never had more than 1 come on at a time though.
