Just great...misfire and now in limp mode
Well my car drove fine for 20 miles today then waiting on a train it just died. Was able to crank it back up and it ran in limp mode for two miles as I got to my dealership. Pulling in you could hear the misfire and that it sounds like it is firing on two cylinders.
Cranked it back up no misfire just in limp mode so I parked it and turned it off.
I can not hook up my scanner to it until I figure out why it is not turning the scanner on(loose wire probably).
I have a 10/100K yet I have a I,H,E yet I did have a SAFC-II at one time so had to splice into wiring so I do not want to take it to Chevy just yet.
Chevy tech who is now working for us mentioned the coil pack or ignition module? Anyone have this same problem? I am at work so I only have enough time to post this.
Any input is great, Thanks.
It is a 06 LS with 39K 5 speed.

This is a tough one, cause I think from what I gather in your post, your wiring harness is pretty hacked up here and there for all your mods you have done. This could be a huge issue for you esp. with warranty stuff. I would check the wiring very closely and when you splice and re-splice, make sure you solder all your connections and not just crimp them, crimps are horrible and come loose after a while esp if you dont heatshrink it sealed and tight.
Well tomorrow is back to stock day. Get it running, hopefully. I am getting rid of it. Just got a 1985 Nissan 300ZX for around 1500. If it goes alright tonight(except exhaust is clogged up) I will be buying it to be a beater. Then will trade in the Cobalt on a SUV for the mrs.
It gave me some trouble before I went to modding, and well just not happy with it anymore. I was told the plugs were 60K plus. Is this true? Fixed or not I could use the money that goes to the cobalt payment towards something better for my family.
