K&n intake cobalt ss

Hiiiiiii so I just got my intake but I have a shaved bumper so the bumper does not come off ... I also got hid's but I need to take the bumper off in order to get the headlights out? I need help any ideas? Do I need to remove the bumper to install my intake??
Its a 2007 cobalt ss 2.0 supercharged.

You can remove the headlight without removing the bumper. To install the intake jack it up pull the driver side front tire and remove the screws for the fender well gaurd and peel thay back and that will give you the acess you need.

Lift the front end
Remove the Drive side front wheel.
Remove the Driver Side Headlight
Remove/fold back the plastic wheel well in the driver front wheel well.
That should give you accesss...

When you install
Double check and MAKE SURE that your K&N intake DOES NOT rub on your brake lines to your ABS controller. My K&N almoste damaged the lines. Lucky I caught it before anything really bad happened. Got the ZZP one

Mine rubs on the lines... I wonder if I can get away with a rag to protect it

I had to swap to the ZZP Intake because of the line rubbing.
I didnt want to risk a brake line rupture and brake failure.
I sent pics to K&N and they refunded me my money. Was hoping
they would have corrected it by now.

Yeah in for pics. I wouldn't mind less body lines lol. But that seems unnecessary.
