rained all day, when i went to my car there was water in the driver side floor board. all windows up, no sunroof..so what the hell? it was only in the floorboard, and my car was kinda leaning to the right so it was puddling on the right side, about 2 inches deep. does anyone know how this could possibly happen?

Thats funny because when ever I go to dirve my car after its rained watter splashes around the my pasenger side do Its acualy funny but it eventauly drains. But this is what I think is your problem, One of your drains in the door has gotten cloged so check the door pannel drains.

It might have to do with your AC unit... I think like if the outside vents get clogged it can cause a leak or something.... but dont quote me on this

Theres a hole I think where the A pillar meets the front rail by the top of the fender that is supposed to be plugged with a) a white putty or b)a sticky tar like patch.
My guess is its running down your windsheild under the fender and through the hole.

ok, this is a common problem since i have heard about it on 4 different occasions now.

It took me seven hours but i solved the problem last week

The water is travelling down the windsheild and down the front of the door post. It hits the loom that covers the wires from the door to the body. I ended up sealing the body side with silicone(right stuff) and the problem has been solved eversince.

The GM dealership kept blaming everything under the sun other than this. And in the end told my customer to not come back. They said if they were to spend another minute on this car for a water leak, they would be charging him by the hour. So this is when he came to me.

I just figured that i would share this information. But if you do have an issue with this, just give it a try and go from there.
