just took an hour trying to get those stupid bulb out, finally put in the new LED light bulb and it stays dim even when the car is off, and map lights are off-- does anyone know how to fix this ( certain wiggle maybe)? or is it just something that happens with the 194 LEB bulbs.

 

Wow, an hour??? Took me 5 minutes TOTAL for both!

It's normal. It won't kill your battery. There's current going through the wires at all times and LED's pick up this current and dim very lightly. Nothing to worry about. I've hd mine on for over a month and all is well@!

 

haha yea i was so afraid to break the damn thing i searched through every tool in my house to try to find one capable of getting in there, after all that a trusty pair of tweezers and tape did the trick.. thanks for letting me know though--

 

sorry if this is dumb, but what are map lights? i have leds in my dome light, trunk, reverse, and license plate light and they are all bright as ****

 

map lights are the two lights under your rear view mirror that auto dim when you get in and out of your car-- under the impression that the cars with the dome lights do not also have map lights
