That looks interesting but I have a bigger question, what the hell is going on Freddy?
You actually make a thread that doesn't link to ****??
What is the world coming to????

The #1 piston is the one I COOKED. When I first purchased my car I just added a smaller pulley nothing more, 3.0 to be exact. A couple of months later I added the original stage 3 kit by Intense racing. 2.8 pulley, maf translator, 42.5 lb injectors and a gutted cat. I was running 4% lean for more horsepower. Dyno'd at 267hp and 249lbs of tq( I believe that is where it all began). 29k mi and a year later I started feeling a sputter at high rpm ittermittently and the sound of my exhaust was different. It was driving me nuckin futs. SO... I thought Fk it -- I went to 60 lb injectors and 2.6 pulley and a Stage 4 pcm by Intense. It was running great but still had the miss under a hard load around 5800 rpm's and every now and then a small poof of grey smoke and my dip stick would pop out. (making a friggin mess.) Well I wanted better pistons anyway so I tore it down and thats what I found. The #1 cylinder sleeve is a bit scuffed but nothing a good honing wont take care of I hope, but if not Im going to bore her. I believe running her as lean as I did for as long as I did was the problem all the other pistons look new, even #4.
So..... If you want BIG BOOST you need BIG INJECTORS and a good tune PERIOD!!
I'll have a update after work (The 4 of Nov) so stay tuned.

All you did was pistons, right? About how long would you say the process was from start to finish? Anything really unusual that must be done while working on it?
Well im an auto technician. I took me 1.5 hrs to completely tear down. half hour to hone cylinder walls and install pistons, half hours cleaning parts and 2 hours to reassemble. I work on it a half an hour at a time "lunch break". Most of the time I was waiting for gaskets and and orings. So in total I have approx 4 to 5 hrs vested.
"Anything really unusual that must be done while working on it?"
Answer: Make sure your 60 degress b4 TDC before tearing down and DONT drop the timing chain.
