So it was cyl #2 that blew out....its all fixed.

a flashing cel means there is a possibility damage to the cat will result, a misfiring cylinder will dump unburnt fuel causing the cat to overheat, which can damage it.

but a master tech would know that.... right?

Lol yeah it could happen but that's not WHY it's flashing
